Big Hero 6 is officially turning two years old in a few months, so it is our excuse to rewatch this animated masterpiece for the thousandth time. It’s a bit cliché, but this movie literally made us laugh, cry, and everything in between.
Incorporating elements from both American and Japanese studios (evident in the city’s hilarious and incredibly witty name, San Fransokyo), Big Hero 6 contained the best of all of our favorite movies, featuring an opening death as heartbreaking as Up with a robot as endearing as WALL-E and an ending as tearjerking and gut-wrenching as The Iron Giant. We couldn’t have asked for more.
