25 Winning Batman & Superman Shirts
Well, it’s finally here. The movie some of us have been waiting for, while others of us have been dreading: Batman Vs. Superman Dawn of Justice. The bigger battle right now is between fans who think it’s epic and those who think it’s one of the worst movies ever.
We’re not going to battle that out here. Instead, we are going to assure those who think that if the movie is bad and/or does not do well, that it will destroy the franchises. Batman and Superman have been around for almost 80 years. And even with a bad movie or two, I’m sure they’ll be around for another 80.
Batman, more so than Superman, has always stitched in with the time, often thought finished, but came back fighting. His comic was almost cancelled after the success of Batman ’66 waned. But the 70s comics brought him back in vogue, only to explode on screen in the late 1980s with the help of Tim Burton. And for those of you who feared George Clooney may have killed the Cape Crusade (though I’d blame Joel Schumarker), Batman was back before you knew it, breaking box office records under the guide of Christopher Nolan.
Superman may not have had much big screen success in the eyes of the fans, but the original Superman: The Movie is still the classic template for great superhero movies. Superman won in other formats. He was popular on radio way back in the day (yes, before television and the Internet, people listened to the radio for entertainment), and has had great success on TV from the 1950s to the 2000s (and looks like his cousin, Supergirl, is doing the same in 2016!).
In other words, their street cred will be fine.
And one thing that is sure never to go out of vogue is their merchandise. To show that these guys will keep on fighting and friending for decades to come, I’ve dug up 25 “winning” Batman and Superman shirts you’ll be proud to wear for years to come!
