20 Wonderful Wonder Woman Shirts for Dawn of Justice
After years of the world waiting for her, Wonder Woman is making her first appearance on the big screen. Granted it’s in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and not her own movie, but this will be a teaser for the solo Wonder Woman movie due to arrive in June 2017.
The journey to the big screen has been a long one for Wonder Woman. For years, many of us were waiting with baited breath for the Joss Whedon version. If anybody could do justice to Wonder Woman, it would be the Buffy scribe. But after several attempts at a script, the project was scrapped. There were rumors here and there of Wonder Woman projects, but nothing panned out.
But with DC trying to brand Justice League, a Wonder Woman film was finally green lit under the direction of Monster director, Patty Jenkins. Gal Gadot from the Fast & Furious series was cast as the Amazon Princess. We will have to wait over a year to see their full take is on Wonder Woman, but at least we get a peek of it in this month’s Batman vs. Superman.
The new Wonder Woman is sure to be much different from the one Lynda Carter played on the 70s television series. (So endeared, that DC Comics recently had a digital first comic based on it, Wonder Woman ’77.) She may no longer be in her satin tights, but she’s sure to be fighting for our rights. And I can’t wait to watch how this incarnation will change the world.
