20 Frame-Worthy Album Cover Parody Shirts
Besides being a big comic book/sci-fi geek, I’m also a music geek. Music is very similar to geek interests: it begins as a solitary activity, but as soon as you find somebody who shares your musical interests, you have an instant shared past.
I’ve always seen albums as works of art, not just hit singles. I like albums that feel complete from beginning to end. And along with that, even in the age of digital downloads, I feel the album artwork is still a major component of that.
Many album covers have become iconic: Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures, Nirvana’s Nevermind, to name a few. So there’s nothing more fun than meshing those images with geeky icons. You get to show of two things you like. And hey, they’re pretty damn cool.
Here are 20 of my favorites:
Wish You Were Here
Dark Side of the Hallows
Dark Side of the Death Star
A Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey Day’s Night
The Fellowship Crossing Abbey Road
Walter White – A Lab Insane
My Seasonal Romance
Jessica: Good Girl Drawn Bad
Nirvana Banana Logo
And Out Comes The Wolverine…
Those Metal-ing Kids!
